WATTALPS has finalised a fund raising of 2.2 M€ to grow faster and follow market demand.
WATTALPS has realised a capital increase of 1.1 M€ with a complimentary debt raising of 1.1 M€, for a total of 2.2 M€. Eximium, Family-office, takes a minority share in Wattalps. InnoEnergy, which is already a shareholder, has also participated in the capital increase. WATTALPS is also sponsored by Bpifrance with a 500 K€ loan. International banks bring a complementary debt of 600 K€ to finalise the financing.
Eximium was founded in the 90s by French entrepreneur Michel Baulé who experienced an industrial success story in the plastics sector. Eximium works today as a Family Office and its positioning is quite atypical with both a business-oriented and financial culture. It manages a range of shares of listed and private companies in various sectors, as well as real estate investments, amounting to ca.€ 500m.
With regard to its Private Equity activity, Eximium has been investing its own capital for more than 10 years as a minority or majority shareholder without time constraints. Eximium provides equity to meet companies requirements to finance their organic or external growth, and support them to structure ownership on a long-term basis. It also arranges buyouts of small- and mid-cap companies with existing or new management, dealing with various issues such as liquidity and buyouts for family or private shareholders as well as a group’s disposal of a subsidiary or a non-core business.
Being long-term oriented, constantly finding and implementing one-off solutions, using its wide range of financial expertise as well as in-depth knowledge of numerous industries, having a pragmatic approach and an efficient decision-making process Eximium is able to invest up to €10m per transaction. Investing its own capital allows Eximium to support the company in the long-run and provide additional financing that is appropriate to investment or external growth needs if need be. Eximium ‘s portfolio is made up of some twenty small and medium private companies.
